Mama Bellini finds Chester with the half eaten money. Mario must pay back the money, and until then, Chester cannot come out of the cage. Mario knows how much Chester would hate being locked up, so off to work he goes.
Meanwhile, we find out that Tucker has been saving money for a very long time, and has saved up $2.93 in coins. The friends decide to pile up the money and leave it in the newsstand. The Bellini's are shocked to see the money there, and while they can't figure out how it got there, money is money, and Chester is free.
Questions for Thought:
Tucker offers many suggestions, such as pack his bag and move to California, to Chester as to how to explain and deal with the missing two dollar bill. What other suggestions does he make?
Does Chester like any of Tucker's ideas? What does this tell us about the kind of character Chester is?
Prediction: Chapter titles are very important. What do you think the next chapter "The Chinese Dinner" could be about?
